@DanKornas highlighted Toolport (MIT, github.com/btsouth/toolport): a local-first MCP gateway that lets you add and authenticate servers once, then share them across Claude, Cursor, Codex, VS Code, and peers via client profiles. Credentials stay in the OS keychain, with tool disablement, approval for destructive calls, and activity review. The project markets lazy discovery for large tool-token savings, plus a CLI and OpenAPI-generated full-API MCP server packs.
