Cursor Launches Live Apps: Cloud Agents Build, Add Postgres, Cursor SSO and Hosting, Run Security Checks, Then Share a Link

On November 5 Cursor shipped Build Live Apps: describe a tool to a cloud agent and Cursor builds the web app, adds Postgres if needed, sets up Cursor SSO auth and hosting, runs deterministic and agentic security checks, then publishes to a domain you choose with a shareable link for people, groups or the whole team. Works with Origin and GitHub repos on all paid plans with cloud agents enabled.

Cursor Launches Live Apps: Cloud Agents Build, Add Postgres, Cursor SSO and Hosting, Run Security Checks, Then Share a Link

Key Takeaways

  • Flow: start a cloud agent and say you want an app; Cursor handles scaffolding, Postgres if needed, Cursor SSO auth and hosting
  • Publish: pick a unique domain for a live link; repos on Cursor Origin and GitHub, GitLab and others "coming soon"
  • Safety: deterministic and agentic checks (secrets in files, exposed credentials) run first; nothing goes live until checks pass and you publish
  • Controls: admins see every app and secret, add review rules, approve blocked publishes and unpublish any app
  • Sharing & plans: behind Cursor sign-in for people, groups or the team, public sharing on individual plans; all paid plans with cloud agents

Vercel open-sources durable-harness: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Pi agents resume from a durable log after crashes instead of starting over

On Oct 20, Vercel released durable-harness, an open-source package (Apache 2.0, npm 0.0.1-beta.6, marked experimental). It adds durability from the outside to existing coding-agent harnesses such as Pi, OpenCode, Codex and Claude Code: every model and tool call is logged before and after it runs in a Workflow SDK World, and if a function times out or crashes, a queue hands the turn to a new function that resumes from the log, so finished model calls are not billed twice. It runs on Vercel, on local files, or on self-hosted Postgres and other backends.

Vercel open-sources durable-harness: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Pi agents resume from a durable log after crashes instead of starting over

Key Takeaways

  • Supports 5 harnesses: Pi, OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code and libfx's fx (eve and fx are already durable on their own)
  • Mechanism: an intent is recorded before each model or tool call and the outcome after it; each turn is backstopped by a queue message so a new function resumes from the log
  • Finished model calls are read back from the log, so Vercel says you never pay twice for the same call's tokens; only tools marked replay: 'safe' are rerun
  • Swappable backends: Vercel World, local files, Postgres, plus MongoDB, Redis and Turso; two environment variables move it to Postgres
  • Status: Apache 2.0, npm 0.0.1-beta.6, and the README marks it experimental with an API that may change

Claude Code 2.1.282: maxProseWidth, Chrome with managed MCP, plus resume/thinking and gateway readiness fixes

Anthropic shipped Claude Code v2.1.282 on 2026-09-24: maxProseWidth caps prose in wide terminals, allowClaudeInChromeWithManagedMcp lets claude --chrome coexist with exclusive managed-mcp.json, and store.readiness_grace_seconds keeps Apps Gateway /readyz up through brief Postgres failovers—plus many fixes for --continue/--resume dropping extended thinking, redacted_thinking 400s, and managed permission blocks.

Claude Code 2.1.282: maxProseWidth, Chrome with managed MCP, plus resume/thinking and gateway readiness fixes

Key Takeaways

  • maxProseWidth caps prose width; tables/code keep full width
  • allowClaudeInChromeWithManagedMcp for Chrome + exclusive managed-mcp.json
  • store.readiness_grace_seconds for Apps Gateway /readyz through short Postgres outages
  • Resume/continue and redacted_thinking 400 fixes; drop thinking blocks and retry once when needed
  • Install @anthropic-ai/[email protected] (release 2026-09-24T18:38:05Z)

Client SQL launches scoped PostgreSQL access for coding agents with human-reviewed writes

@hithere_devs and @AyanMn18 launched Client SQL (clientsql.com), a PostgreSQL control plane for Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor: per-person and per-agent scopes, agent grants cannot exceed the human owner, writes and schema changes need an independent human reviewer, plus audit trails and per-client revocation. The hosted product is still a pilot; the site advises starting with a disposable or staging database.

Key Takeaways

  • Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor connect over HTTP MCP with person-owned tokens, not database passwords.
  • Agent grants cannot exceed the human owner; production writes require an independent human reviewer.
  • Adds SQL review, commit-bound migrations, audit trails, and per-client revocation; hosted rollout is still a pilot.

Mira open-sources a self-hosted AI code reviewer with full-repo indexing

@DanKornas highlighted miracodeai/mira, a self-hosted AI code reviewer for teams that keep diffs, indexes, review history, and CVE data in their own SQLite or Postgres. It supports OpenRouter and OpenAI-compatible endpoints including vLLM/Ollama, applies per-repo rules via .mira.yaml, and auto-reviews PRs on GitHub, GitLab, and Forgejo/Codeberg. Apache-2.0.

Key Takeaways

  • Self-hosted by default: code and review data stay on your infrastructure.
  • Full-repo indexing plus custom rules go beyond a single diff.
  • Supports GitHub, GitLab, and Forgejo; models via OpenRouter or local OpenAI-compatible endpoints.

Amazon Aurora DSQL purpose-built MCP: coding agents can query, evolve schema, and lint for DSQL

Amazon Aurora DSQL now ships a purpose-built MCP server so coding agents can query, evolve schemas, and lint for DSQL quirks inside the IDE. It exposes seven tools (readonly_query, transact, get_schema, plus docs/recommend/lint), defaults to read-only with IAM short-lived tokens, and enables --allow-writes when needed; install via npx skills add aws/agent-toolkit-for-aws/skills --skill aurora-dsql. Unlike generic Postgres MCP, it understands DSQL-specific behavior.

Key Takeaways

  • Purpose-built Aurora DSQL MCP for coding-agent query and schema work.
  • Seven tools with IAM short-lived tokens; read-only by default, optional --allow-writes.
  • Install via npx skills aurora-dsql; understands DSQL better than generic Postgres MCP.

Replit Agent partners with Neon for instant database branching and isolated sandbox data mutations

Replit partnered with Neon to bring instant serverless Postgres database branching directly into Replit Agent. When the agent tests schema migrations or executes destructive seed operations, it automatically spawns an ephemeral Postgres branch in 500ms, safeguarding production data until changes are verified.

Key Takeaways

  • Spawns an isolated serverless Postgres database branch in under 500ms.
  • Destructive migrations and seed scripts run safely in isolated sandbox branches.
  • Atomic merge back to main branch once automated tests pass successfully.
